The Writers - why this story?

Music & Lyrics by Marc Folan

Book by Paul Mari

John Snow, a remarkable young man from Yorkshire, revolutionised our understanding of disease transmission, particularly cholera. Despite his groundbreaking work, he was largely overlooked and dismissed by the medical community, including the Lancet, which offered him only a brief three-line obituary. This story, brought to life by Marc Folan and lyricist Paul Mari, highlights the struggle of a visionary whose contributions were initially ignored due to his northern roots. Join us in celebrating the of John Snow and the impact he had on public health.
